Why Vinomindy?


This blog is to focus on wine. From any writing I do, tasting notes, to random thoughts. If anyone has suggestions on what to write about, please let me know.First thoughts, Champagne. Last night we finally celebrated the kitchen renovation being done. We meant to do this months ago, but with Pixel getting sick and passing away we didn't feel like celebrating for a while. We opened the Bollinger Champagne from 1996. It was nutty, crisp, with a hint of honey and flour. We paired with fingerling potatoes, creme fraiche, caviar, Wabash Cannonball Goat Cheese, and tasty crackers. One thing in life that turns a bad day good very quickly is sparkling wine, we don't drink enough of it and need to drink it more often.Final thought: While watching the The Today Show this morning, Matt commented on how some people feel Champagne is too harsh. Who could feel that way?
